History
1656 Connor Presbyterian Church was formed. This was mainly due to the population of the time not favouring the existing Episcopal Church.
1658 Connor ordains Rev Robert Dewart as their first minister in May. 1748 Ballymena Presbytery was formed and Connor joined.

Connor as it is today
1788 Rev Henry Henry was ordained on the 9th December. To-date he has been the congregation’s longest serving minister at 52 years.
1859 Rev John Hamilton Moore, challenged as follows: “Could you not gather at least six of your careless neighbours, either parents or children, to your house or some convenient place, on the Sabbath and spend an hour with them reading and searching the word of God?” Out of their efforts came a Sunday School at Tannybrake which meets to this day. The four men of Connor (James McQuilken, Jeremiah Meneely, John Wallace and Robert Carlisle) met for prayer and through this meeting God poured out his blessing throughout Ireland and beyond.
1896 Current Church building erected – the third on the site. The 20th Century saw Connor having 5 ministers with the most recent minister, Rev George Preston, retiring on 4th January 2004 after nearly 33 years of ministry in the congregation.
Our current minister is the Rev Richard Murray.
